Goddess Saraswati is said to be the Goddess of knowledge. Saraswati Puja, also known as Basant Panchami, is celebrated with much fervour all over India and is observed on the fifth day of the spring season. According to the Hindu calender, Basant Panchami falls in the month of Magha, which is the fifth day of Shukla Paksha. It is the bright day which falls every year around late January or early February.
NYCS also performed Saraswati Puja at its NYCS-KOVIDA Skill Development Training Centre at WZ - 49, Budhela Opposite dg MIG Flat Vikaspuri, Delhi today with great vigour and enthusiasm. An idol or picture of Maa Saraswati, was mounted and decorated with kumkum and flowers, incense sticks, and fruits.
