The Asia Pacific Cooperative Youth Summit (APCYS 5.0)

The Asia Pacific Cooperative Youth Summit (APCYS 5.0) successfully concluded in Hangzhou, China from 1st to 4th September 2026.The summit was organised by the International Cooperative Alliance – Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP) and the ICA-AP Committee on Youth Cooperation and hosted by the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives (ACFSMC) and the Zhejiang Institute of Economics & Trade.
The summit brought together young cooperative leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region for meaningful discussions on ethical AI, digital economy, Go green initiatives, innovation, youth leadership and the future of cooperatives. The Participants also gained practical insights through engagements with leading organisations and initiatives including Alibaba, iFlytek and Sixiang Commune Cooperative.
Mr. Abhishek Kumar, General Manager of the National Yuva Cooperative Society Limited (NYCS) and Vice Chairperson of the ICA-AP Committee on Youth Cooperation participated actively in the summit and contributed to discussions on strengthening youth participation and leadership in the cooperative movement.
The summit concluded with valuable policy suggestions and a renewed commitment to building future-ready, inclusive, digital and sustainable cooperatives led by young people.
