National Co-Operative Society’s (NYCS) also helped Kerala in any way possible. National Director of NYCS E Krishnadas and State Representatives Kathali Narasimha Perumal visited the flood affected areas, i.e. Chalakkudy, Chengamanad, and Karamanullur & Aluva. 

 

NYCS assists the microfinance through their project “Jan Nidhi”. It has many branches in Kerala. The management committee members of Jan Nidhi branches in Aluva and Chalakudy also went with NYCS’ team. 

 

President Mr. P B Muraleedharan, of Jan Nidhi branch in Aluva extended his help to the badly affected areas of Alapuzha district. Pump sets were sent to the areas of Kuttanad.

 

Member of Kongad panchayat and staff member of Plkd Jan Nidhi provided support to 100 affected families by sending them the necessary kits.
